Elderly Health Issues
According to the National Council on Aging, about 92 percent of seniors have at least one chronic disease and 77 percent have at least two. Heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes are among the most common and costly chronic health conditions causing two-thirds of deaths each year.

Everyone should have health insurance? I say everyone should have health care. I’m not selling insurance.

Elderly Health Issues

Cognitive health is focused on a person’s ability to think, learn and remember. The most common cognitive health issue facing the elderly is dementia, the loss of those cognitive functions. Approximately 47.5 million people worldwide have dementia—a number that is predicted to nearly triple in size by 2050. (Source: vitalrecord.tamhsc.edu)

Aloha!
As usual, Cris went above and beyond to make sure mama and the family were given all the best service and care today. I appreciate her time and efforts, and for accommodating my added requests, allowing me to attend my friend’s funeral on Oahu. The peace of mind was priceless.

We stayed on Maui for a week with my 91-year-old father – we used Ohana Care for help in the mornings with dressing and bathing. They were such kind staff members and they truly felt like part of our family.

Amy Storm

Very happy, nice people, good cooks – helpful with everything.

Johnna was very capable, knowledgeable, and thorough — the best! She and everyone — Jessika, Joyce, Chris — were all very nice. We were glad we had Ohana’s help every day.”

When my Father had an accidental fall recently, he all of a sudden needed 24 hour home care. I called Ohana Care Maui, and the owner Jessika was so kind and helpful. She provided someone for the graveyard shifts and the day shift that we needed last minute. Lynnal and Brenda were wonderful! Knowing we could rely on Jessika and her great people helped our family get through a very tough situation with ease and grace. Thank you Ohana Care Maui!

Great group of nurses for in-home care. Strong intelligent women who can help you with the challenges of dealing with in-home care for a loved one. Willing to do housework, transport as well as care for a loved one. A calm, gentle manner which gives your loved one confidence in their Ohana Care.

I have no hesitation in recommending Ohana Care Maui’s services and look forward to working with them next time I am in Maui. The punctuality and efficiency of the staff were outstanding.
